Do Las Vegas coupons really exist and are they worth anything?

If you have tried searching the internet for coupons to help save on your Las Vegas vacation you have probably been sorely disappointed with the results of your search.  A 2 for 1 at Ben & Jerry's, a "FREE" slot pull, or "FREE" popcorn probably isn't what you have in mind.

Honestly in our opinion (And we spend 40 hours a week researching Las Vegas Venues, Events, etc.) chasing after coupons as a means to save on your trip is a worthless endeavor.  What's the big deal?  You'll spend more money time and effort chasing trivial offers than you will get in return for your efforts.  Concentrate on getting a good room rate at your desired Hotel, low cost car rental reservations, and the cheapest airline tickets.  Follow the advice given below and spend your time having fun not worrying about saving $5 or $10 with a few coupons you probably won't use anyways.

What about the "Fun books" and coupon books you purchase?

In our opinion (And we spend 40 hours a week researching Las Vegas Venues, Events, etc.) chasing after coupons is not a fruitful endeavor.  Even less fulfilling or even practical is "buying" coupons.  Honestly what are you buying?  You'll spend $30 to get a few offers that you will then be "FORCED" to use or your money is totally out the window!  Why do this?  Keep your money in your pocket and spend it when and where you want, once you are in Las Vegas.  Coupons make sense at the grocery store, but not if you have to buy them.  Be sure to ask at the desk of the Casino Resort where you plan on staying for any Free coupons or promotional offers instead of throwing your money away (see next section).

Take advantage of your resorts "In-house" offers

Nearly every Casino has some kind of promotional offers available just for the asking.  The key is to ASK!  Don't expect much during the Holiday's or Key industry events such as COMDEX, but most of the time you should be able to get some "extra value" by asking at the desk.  We certainly wouldn't let a few promotions factor in our decision as to where we stay.  But it depends on what you like.
